* Szakolca, September 22, 1907 – † Szeged, December 5, 1975 / chemical engineer ; ; He completed his secondary education in Vácot and Kalocsa, and obtained a chemical engineering degree from the Budapest University of Technology (1930). He did not get a job that matched his qualifications during the Great Depression, so he initially worked as an assistant at the United Bulb. In 1933, he became an assistant chemist at the Agricultural and Paprika Experimental Station in Szeged, later he was appointed chief chemist, and in 1947 he took over the management of the institute. In 1949, the experimental station was transformed into the Szeged City Quality Testing Institute, of which he became a staff member. He retired in 1967. His scientific work covered many areas of analytical chemistry. He developed numerous new definitions and improved existing ones in the field of mineral, water and food testing (e.g. the Kjeldahl nitrogen determination). He published nearly 100 scientific publications. His son, Imre Sarudi Jr. (Szeged, 1938 –) also became a chemical engineer and was a professor at the University of Veszprém until his retirement in 2010. ; ; His main works: ; Inorganic quantitative analysis I–II., 1947–1948, ; Sugar determinations.
