* Késmárk, August 3, 1841 – † Igló, February 25, 1917 / high school teacher, High Tatras researcher ; ; He completed his elementary and secondary school studies in his hometown (graduated in 1860). In 1865, he obtained a teaching qualification in Latin and German, as well as history, and taught at the Igló high school for nearly forty years (1870–1909). He was an active member of the Hungarian Carpathian Association, participated in the founding of the Szepesi Charity House, and was a colleague of the Carpathian Museum in Poprad. He explored and explained the Hernád breakthrough. He often organized tourist trips to the High Tatras, and a Tatra peak and a gorge bear his name. He wrote several books in German about the Spiš Mountains, the High Tatras and Tatra place names. F. m.: Beiträge zur Nomenklatur der Hohen Tatra, 1891.
