* Késmárk, April 15, 1909 – † Budapest, January 23, 1970 / geologist ; ; His father, Jenő Noszky (Nagykereskény), a geologist, was a teacher at the Késmárk Lyceum at the time of his birth (between 1906 and 1920). He studied at the University of Debrecen from 1927 to 1931. After obtaining his teaching certificate in natural history and geography, he completed his doctoral dissertation on the chalk formations of the Bakony, which he had begun with Károly Telegdi-Róth, during a study trip to Vienna. He then worked as an assistant professor at the University of Debrecen, and from 1936 as a geologist at the Hungarian State Geological Institute in Budapest, and as director from 1953 to 1956. He is an excellent expert on the Bakony and the Hungarian Mesozoic, and in addition to about 50 manuscript reports and many expert opinions, he has published a series of maps and 36 articles. Most of these deal with the tectonics of the Northern Bakony, the detailed division of the Jurassic-Cretaceous strata, and the stratigraphic position of manganese ore and bauxite deposits. He conducted successful research in the areas of Nézsa and Jászó, in the Réz Mountains, in the Vargyas coalfields, in the Mecsek Mountains, and in the Tokaj and Kőszeg Mountains.
