* 15 February 1768. Keszthely - † 2 September 1844. Levoča / botanist, physician ; ; He studied at the University of Vienna. He was a practicing physician in Keszthely, then the chief physician of the city of Levoča. He was interested in botany from his youth. He went on botanical excursions to the Spiš Mountains and the Tatra Mountains, and had a large plant collection. In 1798, he published a fundamental botanical work in Latin: "List of the flora of Zipszer or a list of plants freely occurring in Zipszer County and the neighboring Carpathians". Here he lists about 900 plants, focusing especially on medicinal plants, and lists the beneficial effects of each.
