* Késmárk, February 15, 1768 – † Levoča, September 2, 1844 / physician, botanist ; ; He completed his school studies in his hometown, and studied medicine at the University of Vienna. He practiced in his hometown for six years, then settled in Levoča, where he worked as the city's physician until his death. In 1829, he published his booklet on the diseases of domestic animals here. He was primarily interested in botany, and during his excursions he collected plants in the Spiš Mountains and the Tatra Mountains. He was the first flora researcher in the region.
