April 30. / theologian, historian, mineralogist ; ; His father was Keresztély Genersich, elder, a merchant, his mother was Anna Zsuzsa Royko, brother of János Genersich and Sámuel Genersich. He began his schooling in his hometown, then continued in Debrecen, Felsősajó and Bratislava. Between 1778 and 1784 he was a student at the universities of Jena, Göttingen and Utrecht. In 1784 and 1786 he taught at the Sajógömör gymnasium, then returned to Késmárk, where he was a teacher at the lyceum until his death, and from 1789 he also worked as an evangelical pastor. In addition to his work, he was mainly involved in the study of the Spišské and the Tatra Mountains. He wrote numerous works on local history and topography, studied and collected minerals. Several of his works have survived only in manuscript, which can be found in the Hungarian National Museum. Between 1800 and 1824 he exchanged many letters with Károly György Rumy, 477 of which are preserved in the archives of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He was accompanied on his excursions to the Tatra Mountains by some teachers from the Keszmárk Lyceum, e.g. János Asbóth, the later director of the Keszthely Georgicon, who taught in Keszmárk between 1796 and 1801. ; ; His main works: ; Physisch-topographische Uebersicht des Zipser Comitats, 1804, ; Reise in die Carpathen mit vorzüglicher Rücksicht auf das Tatra-Gebirge.
