* Németpróna, August 5, 1786 – † Tihany, February 15, 1851 / Benedictine monk, doctor of humanities, mathematician, academic teacher, corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences ; ; He started high school in Privigyé, continued and finished it in Székesfehérvár. In November 1803 he entered the Order of Saint Benedict, then studied philosophy and theology in Pannonhalma. He was ordained a priest on August 30, 1810. From 1810 he taught at the Győr high school and academy. He received his doctorate in 1813. In 1836 he became a corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences, and on February 3, 1838 he was appointed abbot of Tihany. The Jena Mineralogical Society also elected him a member. He is primarily known for his works on mathematics.
