Vága, March 14, 1939 ; According to the so-called Vienna decision of November 2, 1938, Vága temporarily remained in Czechoslovakia. There was constant negotiation about the border adjustment. This is how it came about that on March 14, 1939, against the will of Cseklész, Gány and Barakony, Nagycétény and Vága were annexed to Hungary. In Vága, the Czech-Slovak officials and military handed over the village to the army captain Rezső Tornyai at 12 noon. ; The financial guard station located in the village was moved to Gány, while the gendarmerie station was moved to Alsószerdahely. The exchange of territory resulting from the drawing of the national border took place without any incident, in the greatest order. ; Since Trianon, the inhabitants of the border village of Vága had belonged to Budapest again. ; According to the report of the Alsószerdahely police station on March 16, 16 gendarmes were stationed at the Vága gendarmerie station after the Hungarian invasion, while an artillery battery was stationed at the Várrét farm. ; ; https://youtu.be/d7j_uHaortc
