Lord's Day Procession 2

In this picture (1992), the procession is approaching the altar on Alszeg Street. In front, an altar boy carries the cross, followed by the statue of Mary, girls hold white ribbons in a circle from above and in white dresses neatly hold the ribbon tent above Mary. The relays also pass by the girls, with whom they occasionally exchange hands. Behind them are the two young people with the Mary banner and the cross. Then come little girls with baskets. After them are the bell-bearers, again with flower-scatters, and under the canopy, the priest carries the Holy Communion in a pedestal-mounted chalice, the so-called monstrance. The canopy is held by four men, next to them is a lamp-bearer, and behind them are the faithful. The organizers monitor and guide the direction and pace of the procession, marking it with armbands. Nowadays, the procession route has been narrowed down; in Főszeg, there is one at the kindergarten, and the other altars are located in the churchyard.
