* Selmecbánya, December 10, 1759 – † Nagymuzsaj/Ukraine, October 17, 1827 / botanist, mineralogist, teacher ; ; He studied at the gymnasium in Selmecbánya and Bratislava, from 1780 he was a student at the Piarist seminary in Rózsaheg, then studied philosophy at the University of Pest. From 1788 to 1815 he was a teacher and headmaster of the Karlóca gymnasium, and finally the head of the alum factory of the Károlyi counts in Nagymuzsalý. At the invitation of the Regional Council, he sent several plants he had collected to the university's botanical garden. He also supported the work of Pál Kitaibel. He was the first to collect Serbian thistle in Hungary. His botanical notes and collections are in the MNM. He collected plants in many parts of the Highlands: Bratislava, Liptov County, the area around Komárom, Gúta, Spišskég, Upper Garam Mountains, Orava County, Low Tatras. He left behind 26 manuscript works, of which 14 are botanical (e.g. Prof. Wolny notata botanica ad floram Hungariae et Sirmii spectanta). ; ; His main works: Historia naturalis elementa, 1805.
