* Liptószentmiklós, January 21, 1873 – † Budapest, July 8, 1957 /food chemist, veterinarian, university professor ; ; He completed his chemical studies at the Technical University of Budapest and Munich, then in 1895 he obtained a doctorate in humanities at the University of Science in Budapest and was an intern there – for a short time – with Ferenc Tangl. In 1896 he became an assistant professor at the Veterinary College. Under Tangl's leadership, he participated in the organization of the Animal Physiology and Feeding Experimental Station, of which he became assistant, then first and chief chemist in 1897, and director in 1917. In the meantime, in 1904 he became a private university teacher in feed chemistry at the Veterinary College and in food testing at the University of Science. He retired in 1934. From 1894 onwards, he published the results of his independent research, mainly in the Experimental Bulletins. He dealt extensively with the issues of animal metabolism and feeding.
