* Poprad, October 16, 1843 – † Budapest, February 10, 1915 / poet, ethnographic and historical writer ; ; After the Keszmárk Lyceum, he studied philosophy in Berlin. Between 1870 and 1910, he was a teacher at the Budapest Evangelical Gymnasium. His poems written in the Spiš German dialect, published in the Spiš press (Zipser Bote, Karpathen Post) from 1876, made him very popular in his homeland. He also showed his love for his homeland by having several important 17th-18th century sources of the Spiš (Tatra) local and cultural history literature. He published György Buchholtz (Kisszeben) wrote two works on the history of the Tatra Mountains (Das weit und breit erschollene Ziepser-Schnee-Gebürg, 1904, Historischer Geschlechtbericht, 1904), and Sámuel Augustini, ab Hortis (Kakaslomnic) wrote Von den fremden Gold- Und Schatzgräbern. He also published regularly in the yearbooks of the MKE (his article on Batizfalvi-tó was recorded under the name Rezső Weber).
