* Ispáca, July 26, 1849 – † Párkány, June 8, 1921 / physician, genealogist ; ; He graduated from high school in Timişoara in 1868. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Vienna in 1872. He was a practicing physician in Csicsó from 1872 to 1874. It was at this time that he began to deal with history and genealogy. He practiced in Szentendre between 1874 and 1890, and lived in Bratislava from 1890 to 1893 and worked as a district physician. In 1894 he was transferred to Muzslá as a district physician. In 1908 he settled in Párkány and lived there until his death. His gravestone was found in the Párkány cemetery in 1995 by medical historian László Kiss. His research work can be divided into two periods: until 1884 he published primarily papers on medical history and public health, after 1884 his interest turned towards genealogy and heraldry. As a practicing physician he was aware of the shortcomings of rural health care and criticized the incompetence of officials and their often apparent insensitivity to the problems of poor rural people. In his medical history writings he mainly dealt with the medicine and health care of ancient civilizations, but he also published an internationally notable paper on the plague epidemic in Hungary between 1708 and 1711. As a genealogist he primarily dealt with the genealogy of Hungarian and South Slavic ruling families. In 1996 a memorial plaque was placed in his honor on the main street of Párkány, and in 1999 the Wertner Mór Memorial Book was published, edited by György Himmler, a history teacher from Párkány. ; ; His main works: ; The Plague in Hungary 1708–1711, 1880, ; Medical archaeological studies, 1883, ; Historisch-genealogische Irrthümer, 1884, ; Genealogie und Geschichte, 1884, ; Genealogical history of the South Slavic ruling families in the Middle Ages, 1891, ; The Hungarian genealogies up to the middle of the 16th century, I-II., 1891, ; The family history of the Árpáds, 1892, ; The history of the Hungarian king Béla IV, 1893.
