* Bánya Beszterce, April 25, 1839 – † Zólyomberezna, January 18, 1900 / smelting and mining engineer, ministerial advisor ; ; He graduated from the Mining and Forestry Academy in Selmecbánya in 1863. After that, he was an apprentice in Nagybánya for three years. From 1866, he taught as an assistant professor at the Selmec Academy in the Department of Mining and Foundry Engineering headed by Ede Pöschl (Selmecbánya). However, he soon left the academy and returned to Nagybánya. In 1869, he became an engineer at the Máramarossziget Mining Directorate. Later, he moved to Budapest, where he worked for six years as a chief mechanical and architectural engineer in the forestry department of the Ministry of Finance. From 1881, he was the chief engineer of the central ironworks directorate of the ministry. From the mid-1880s he was the director of the treasury ironworks in Zvolen. Thanks to his work, the production of the pipe factory here was significantly expanded and modernized, but he also dealt with increasing the efficiency of iron ore extraction and the renovation of the country's ironworks. From 1897 he worked again in the ministry, but regularly visited the plants entrusted to his care. He died during one such business trip in Zvolen.
