The Vág-parti Rendezvous has been organized since 1983 – although the name of the event has since been changed to Vág-side meeting. Mainly folk art is given space, and performers are invited from the twin settlements and from the entire district. The traditional groups of Kürt, Zsitvabesenyő, Nagykér, Tardoskedd cannot be missing. “Sometimes we gave a theme: we had to cover harvest, folk weddings, Advent customs, harvest celebrations, or we could only perform with military songs, other years exclusively with ballads.
