* Veszprém, September 12, 1845 – † Bratislava, January 13, 1905 / doctor of philosophy, law academy teacher, literary historian, editor ; ; He completed his secondary school studies in his hometown, in 1868 he obtained a teaching certificate in Latin-Greek-German at the University of Pest and began teaching at the Cistercian High School in Pécs. In 1870–1876 he was a teacher at the Bratislava R. K. High School, and from 1876 until his death he was a teacher at the Faculty of Humanities of the Bratislava Law Academy. In 1874 he was one of the founders and then president of the Toldy Circle in Bratislava. Together with József Zichy he established the Bratislava Hungarian Theatre Supporters Association. As József Szinnyei noted: “During his time in Bratislava, he did an extraordinary amount for the Magyarization of the city and the perpetuation of Hungarian acting.” Together with Gábor Pávai Vajna, he launched the political daily newspaper Nyugatmagyarországi Híradó, of which he was also the first editor-in-chief.
