* Sárosfa, January 1, 1949 – / sociologist, librarian ; ; He began his school studies in his native village, graduating from the Somorja high school in 1967. He earned a degree in political science and sociology from the Comenius University in Bratislava in 1972, and a doctorate there in 1988. Between 1972 and 1981, he worked at the Institute for Cultural Research in Bratislava, from 1981 to 1990, he was the chief lecturer on minority affairs at the Slovak government office, from 1990 to 1992, he was the expert advisor to László A. Nagy, member of parliament and party chairman (Independent Hungarian Initiative), and from 1993 to 1995, he was the general secretary of the Csemadok OV. Between 1991 and 1996, he was a member of the board of trustees of the Bibliotheca Hungarica Foundation, and after the foundation was dissolved, he became a member of the Somorja Forum Minority Research Institute and the director of the Bibliotheca Hungarica. He has been involved in the sociological study of minority Hungarian culture since the 1970s. As the director of the Bibliotheca Hungarica, he coordinates the collection and processing of documents, publications, and legacies of prominent people related to the Hungarians of the Uplands, and organizes them for publication.
