* Felsőludány, October 14, 1873 – † Budapest, December 1944 v. end of January 1945 / cultural historian, corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences ; ; He graduated from the Reformed High School in Budapest, and obtained his doctorate in humanities from the University of Budapest in 1897. In 1898–1908 he worked in the library of the Hungarian National Museum, and in 1908–1913 he was the director of the Museum of Upper Hungary in Košice. Between 1913 and 1934 he was the director of the Medal and Antiquities Collection of the Hungarian National Museum. He dealt with issues of medieval Hungarian cultural and art history, and in 1898 he discovered the third oldest Hungarian language monument, the Gyulafehérvár glosses from the beginning of the 14th century.
