Laszlo Varga, D.

* Deregnyő, May 17, 1946 – / teacher, local historian, ethnographic writer ; ; He graduated from high school in Nagykapos in 1964 and obtained a teacher's diploma from the Pedagogical College in Prešov in 1982. From 1973 to 1988 he was a teacher at the Energetic Secondary School in Nagykapos, and from 1988 to 1990 he was the editor of Zemplén Szó. He deals with local history and ethnographic collecting, primarily with the geographical names of the Ung-vidék region, the examination of traditional fishing and animal husbandry, and pastoral art. In the 1980s he had a series of articles published in the Bratislava Hét on the folk fishing of the Ung-vidék region. ; ; His main works: ; Földem és népe.
