* Csetnek, January 24, 1807 – † Prešov, September 14, 1884 / pedagogical and philosophical writer, teacher, corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences ; ; He began his studies in his native village, then continued in Košice, Rožňava and completed them in Prešov as a student of Zsigmond Karlovszky and Mihály Greguss. In 1828 he successfully passed the priestly and teacher qualification exams in Tiszolc, where he taught for two years, then continued his education in Jena. From 1831 he taught many subjects as a lyceum teacher in Prešov (logic, mathematics, Latin, aesthetics, metaphysics, psychology, Hungarian literature), and later also lectured at the law academy and theology. His outlook had a great influence on the representatives of the Hungarian Reformation era who studied in Prešov. He wrote or edited numerous secondary school textbooks. The Hungarian Academy of Sciences elected him a corresponding member in 1847.
