* Hodrusbánya, March 20, 1893 – † Budapest, March 17, 1966 / mining engineer, professional writer ; ; He began his studies at the Mining and Forestry Academy in Selmecbánya, and finally completed them in Sopron in 1919 after World War I. From 1920, he was the plant manager of the Brennberg coal mine, which now belongs to Sopron, for nearly three decades. In this capacity, he introduced several new processes that had previously only been used abroad. In 1939, he set a Hungarian record with a depth of 620 meters in the Szent István shaft. He became the first director of the Mining Research Institute, founded in 1949. Between 1954 and 1964, he was a member of the technology department of the Mining Planning Institute. His professional articles and studies were published in the Mining and Metallurgical Journals.
