Katalin Vadkerty

* Érsekújvár, April 21, 1928 – / historian ; ; He graduated from Kisvárda (1946), obtained a degree in history from the Comenius University in Bratislava (1955), and became a candidate of history in 1963. He taught at the Pedagogical College in Bratislava from 1953 to 1958, and for a short time edited the cultural section of the weekly Dolgozó Nő. Between 1960 and 1987 he was a colleague of the Institute of History of the SZTA. His research field is the economic history of Hungary in the 19th century and the period following the Compromise of 1867, as well as the history of the disenfranchisement of Hungarians in Slovakia between 1945 and 1948.
