Árpád Tőzsér, Kossuth Prize-winning poet, publicist, and a native of the village, received a Csemadok commemorative plaque and the title of Honorary Citizen at a ceremony organized on the occasion of the 55th anniversary of the establishment of the national Csemadok and the 50th anniversary of the establishment of the Csemadok Péterfalai Foundation in 2004. The commemorative plaque was presented by Judit Illés, the president of the local foundation, accompanied by Diána Kati and Bettina Pelle.
