Tury Sandor Kornél

* Košice, 7 May 1892 – † Budapest, 28 September 1971 / lawyer, university ; teacher, corresponding member of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences (1939) ; ; He obtained his doctorate in law from the Budapest University of Science and Technology in 1914. Between 1918 and 1926 he was an official of the Ministry of Justice, but from 1924 he lectured on the law of bills of exchange and commercial law at the Faculty of Law and Economics at the Budapest University of Science and Technology. Between 1926 and 1940 he was a professor in Szeged, and between 1940 and 1946 he taught at the University of Cluj. In 1946 he returned to Hungary and until 1949 he was a professor at the Hungarian University of Agricultural Sciences, and between 1949 and 1956 he was a scientific associate at the Institute of State and Law of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. From 1921 he also worked as a senior associate of the Hungarian Legal Review.
