Alexander Trugly

* Komárom, December 19, 1952 – / archaeologist, museologist ; ; He completed his primary and secondary school studies in his hometown (1958–1971), obtained a diploma in Hungarian archaeology from ELTE in Budapest (1976), and has been a doctor of humanities since 1986. From 1976 to 2005, he was an archaeological museologist at the Danube Riverside Museum in Komárom, and currently lives in Hungary. His research area is the archaeological remains of the Migration Period and the burial customs of the Avars and the conquering Hungarians in the Komárom area. Among other things, he is credited with the excavation and publication of the Avar cemetery and settlement in the Komárom shipyard, which has since become famous in Europe.
