* January 14, 1940, Hanva, – February 15, 2018, Bratislava / poet, writer, translator, editor. ; ; Born on January 14, 1940 in Hanva, Gömör. He graduated from high school in Tornalján, then studied Hungarian-physical education at the Pedagogical College in Bratislava, but did not complete his studies. From 1961, he was the editor and later the editor-in-chief of Szabad Földműves, Új Ifjúság, and then Tábortűz. He published regularly from 1959, and as a translator, he primarily translated works by contemporary Slovak writers into Hungarian. ; ; In 1981, he won the Imre Madách Prize, and in 2008 he was awarded the Posonium Literary Award Homeland Prize. ; ; His main works: ; Fish Swim Deep (poems, 1965), Two (poems, 1966), Barks (poems, 1969), Yellow Like the Sun (short stories, 1975), Starry-eyed (children's poems, 1976), The Day Before Yesterday, Tuesday (children's poems, 1982), Rainbow (children's poems, 1996), Tale of the Golden Hammer (tales, 2002), Oaks (poems, 2007), In My Forest of Loneliness (poems, 2010), Bitter Inventory (poems, 2010).
