* Pered, November 5, 1949 / nuclear physicist, cybernetics, project manager, businessman ; ; He started school in his native village, and graduated from the Hungarian Gymnasium in Galanta (today: Kodály Zoltán Gymnasium) in 1967. His mathematics teacher was József Mészáros. He was also a student of the Novohradská Street Special Education Gymnasium in Bratislava. Between 1967 and 1972, he obtained an engineering diploma in theoretical cybernetics at the Faculty of Nuclear Physics and Engineering Physics of the Czech Technical University in Prague, and a doctoral (PhD) qualification at the Computer Research Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences in 1983–1986. From 1972 to 1979, he worked as an IT engineer at the East Slovakian Iron Works in Košice. From 1979 to 1983, he worked as the head of the applied development department of the Prague-based Inorga (Institute for Industrial Automation), developing and installing large industrial control systems. From 1983 to 1989, he was a consultant to the Vienna-based UNIDO (United Nations Industrial Development Organization). In 1989, he founded his own company Novitech Kft. (later Rt.), of which he was CEO until 1995, and chairman and co-owner from 1995. ; The company deals with new information technologies and provides services in this field. The company now has four subsidiaries in Slovakia, one each in Belgium and Luxembourg. These are primarily engaged in the management of corporate process strategies, the introduction and utilization of innovative information systems, process control and business management knowledge bases. In Slovakia, Novitech Rt. designed and implemented the complex information and process management system of the General Health Insurance, the Slovak Tax Office, and many other institutions and companies. He is an internationally recognized and sought-after expert, among other things, a board member of the European Business and Innovation Centers Network. He established the TeleDom education and conference center in Košice, where project management and business management courses are organized primarily for small entrepreneurs. He has been a member of the Knights of Malta since 2001.
