* Rozsnyó, April 3, 1952 – † Rozsnyó, April 12, 2006 / archaeologist, local historian, monument protector, professional writer ; ; He completed his primary and secondary school studies in his hometown, graduating in 1970. He obtained a diploma in archaeology from the ELTE Faculty of Archaeology in Budapest in 1975. In 1975, he began his career at the Local History Museum of Érsekújvár (today: János Thain Museum of National History), but a year later, in 1977, he became an employee of the Mining Museum of Rozsnyó. From 1985, he was an employee of the Monument Protection Office of Rozsnyó, and from 1992, he was its director. In the last years of his life (from 2002), he worked at the Betléri Museum of the Slovak National Museum, in the Andrássy Castle. He primarily dealt with the monuments of Gömör, its folk architecture, the tangible relics of its craftsmanship, and the prominent personalities of Rozsnyó. He regularly photographed the monuments of Gömör, and exhibitions of his photographs were held on several occasions.
