Bela Tok

* Lakszakállas, 15 May 1936 – † Komárom, 17 March 1993 / teacher, local historian, museologist ; ; He graduated from high school in Komárom in 1955. He obtained a teaching certificate in Hungarian history at the Pedagogical College in Bratislava in 1959. Between 1959 and 1969 he was a high school teacher first in Zselize and then in Dunaszerdahely. In 1969–1988 he was a staff member of the Danube River Museum in Komárom. From 1989 until his early death he taught in various schools in Komárom. As a local historian he primarily researched the past of the settlements of the Komárom district, and as a museologist he dealt with old weapons, the Komárom fortress system, and the history of the Komárom guilds, crafts, associations and industrial organizations. He published his results in Hungarian newspapers from the Highlands (Hét, Irodalmi Szemle) and in the Új Mindenes Gyűjtemény.
