Peter Tirinda

* Érsekújvár, July 26, 1948 – / mechanical engineer, scientific researcher ; ; He graduated from the Mechanical Engineering Vocational High School in Komárom in 1967, and in 1972 he obtained an engineering diploma from the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering of the Slovak Technical University in Bratislava. In 1972–1976, he was a post-graduate student at the Institute of Mechanical Engineering of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, in 1976–1985, a scientific researcher, in 1985–1991, a department head. Since 1992, he has been the director of the Slovak representation of the Danish instrument engineering company Brüel&amp,Kjaer. His research areas include the investigation of the dynamic properties of rubber springs, automation of mechanical measurements, and vibration diagnostics. In 1990–1992, he was a member of parliament for the Hungarian Christian Democratic Movement. He was awarded the Prize of the Slovak Academy of Sciences in 1981. He currently lives in Bratislava.
