* Košice, 1794 – † Pest, July 1862 / lawyer, university professor ; ; He studied philosophy and law in Bratislava, then lectured on “politicocameral” sciences and promissory notes at the Bratislava Academy of Law between 1822 and 1832. He was a professor at the University of Pest from 1832 to 1849, and was also dean in 1848. Due to his sympathy for the Hungarian War of Independence of 1848/49, he was dismissed after 1849 and imprisoned in 1850. After his release, he tried unsuccessfully to find a job as a teacher. He was an excellent educator, but nothing is known about his literary activities.
