The first harvest ball was held in 1959. A horse-drawn band marched through the village. At the first parade, Ede Ponya was the wine-maker and János Danajka was the herald. This became the basis for the traditional harvest balls of Felsoszel. The harvest ball with a pig bull became a tradition, but in the 70s it was already difficult to recruit riders.
