* Ebed, August 22, 1935 – / physicist, scientific researcher ; ; He finished elementary school in his native village, started his high school studies in Budapest and finished them in Komárom (1953). He obtained a degree in physics from the Comenius University in Bratislava (1958). From 1958 to 1961, he was a scientific associate at the Welding Research Institute in Bratislava, and from 1961, at the Polymer Institute of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. In 1967, he became a candidate of chemical sciences, and from 1986, a doctor of chemical sciences. At the beginning of his career, he dealt with high-frequency electricity and vacuum physics, and later his main research field became spectroscopic material structure analysis and the observation of free radicals formed in polymers. He spent several longer periods of time in foreign research institutes (St. Petersburg, 1962, Darmstadt, 1968–1969). In the early 1980s, he was an associate professor at the Institute of Physical Chemistry and a scientific associate at the Petroleum Research Center of Baghdad University for 3 years. He publishes in Slovak and international scientific journals. In 2004, he was awarded the Jedlik Ányos Prize by the Szimő municipality.
