Laszlo Sziklay

* Košice, January 9, 1912 – † Budapest, June 15, 1987 / literary historian, college ; teacher ; ; He began his school studies in his hometown, at the Budapest University of Science and Technology, where he obtained a Hungarian-French-Slovak teaching diploma as an Eötvös college student in 1934. In 1934–1941, he was a teacher at the Nyíregyháza Gymnasium, between 1941–1946, he was a lecturer at the Debrecen College of Commerce, and later a teacher at the Budapest and Szeged Teacher Training Colleges. Between 1956–1979, he was a colleague at the Institute of Literary Studies of the Hungarian Academy of Sciences. He primarily dealt with comparative Hungarian literary studies.
