Other - other

Szenc, Báger. The photo was taken in 1955. It was photographed by Zoltán Gombos, a teacher from Szenc. The text of the photo, sent as a postcard to Szomor in Komárom County, reveals that it is the photographer's summer dredging work. ; In 1960, the lake was named Napfényes Tavas, but the people of Szenc still call it Báger. ; The lakes were formed gradually. In 1845, intensive gravel mining began, which was used to build the Bratislava-Galánta railway line. The mining was managed by the Railway Administration of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy. Gradually, 5 separate lakes were created, which merged into a single integrated lake in the middle of the 20th century. The total water area exceeds 100 hectares, and its greatest depth is 12 m.
