Éva Erzsébet Blasy Szelényi Oszkárné was born in Késmárk on March 9, 1882. She learned the basics of painting from Nándor Katona, who was a student of László Mednyánszky. She continued her studies in Budapest and at the Berlin Academy of Arts, where she mainly devoted her time to portrait painting. Her later art was also characterized by portrait painting. ; She exhibited several times in Bratislava, and after her death, the public could meet her at the exhibition of her paintings in Késmárk, Szepes in 1933. The collection of the Késmárk Museum contains three of her portraits - charcoal drawings. ; Her career ended painfully early, on March 27, 1923, at the age of 41, in Bratislava.
