His name was carved in marble on the Heroes' Statue in Vága. In World War I, 77 Vága residents lost their lives for the Hungarian homeland. ; The photo was taken by photographer Károly Körper, who was located at 31 Kórház Street and 8 Maria Street in Bratislava. On the back of the photo you can still read that the photographer won a silver medal at the Bratislava Exhibition in 1892 and 1902 with his photos. ; In 1927, the staff of the Military History Archives tried to estimate the human losses of Greater Hungary. According to this, the figures were as follows: out of 5.5 million conscripts, 3,581 thousand soldiers enlisted. Of these, 524,000 returned home unharmed, 833,000 were taken prisoner. 1,492,000 soldiers were wounded and 530,965 died a heroic death. At the end of the war, 15 divisions remained capable of combat, which Károlyi and his men abandoned.
