* Rozsnyó, November 3, 1922 – † Zólyom, 2006 / engineer, university professor ; ; He is mentioned in Slovak literature as Elemír Šulán. He is the younger brother of Béla Sulán. He completed his elementary and secondary school education in his hometown. In 1939, he became a student at the Faculty of Forestry Engineering of the University of Forestry in Sopron, but due to World War II, he only completed his studies at the College of Agricultural Sciences and Forestry in Košice after 1945. From 1952, he taught at the College of Forestry and Wood Industry in Zólyom as an assistant professor, then as an associate professor. Between 1970 and 1987, he was the head of the Department of Furniture and Industrial Engineering at the university. In the 1971/72 academic year, he taught as a guest professor at the University of Sopron. He retired in 1989. His scientific research and literary work focused on the structure, development and production technology of furniture, joinery and other wood products. He also dealt with the history of technology. He was the author of numerous university notes and registered 6 patents. He also translated Hungarian textbooks into Czech and Slovak. ; ; His main work: ; Technológia výroby nábytku, 1965.
