* Nagyszombat, 26 May 1769 – † Pest, after 1831 / doctor, university professor ; ; He studied humanities and then medicine at the University of Pest, and for a while he was a tutor to the children of József Ürményi. He was ordained a doctor of medicine in 1800. From 1799 to 1803 he was a clinical hospital assistant. He participated as a military doctor in the noble uprising of 1800–1801. From 1803 he was an assistant professor at the veterinary institute alongside Professor Sándor Tolnay (1747–1818). In 1810 he was appointed as Prandt's successor to teach medical practice, surgery and pathology. The main reason for this was that, unlike his predecessor, Stulfa also spoke Hungarian and from 1809 education in Hungarian was made compulsory at the University of Pest. From 1810 to 1821 he was a professor at the Department of Medicine for Surgeons at the University of Pest. Although he lectured based on his own university notes, his scientific achievements were modest. In 1817 he was made a Hungarian nobleman and changed his family name to Széky. He did not engage in literary activity, but in 1831, as an experienced practicing physician, he was included as an advisor in the committee formed to combat cholera, even after his retirement.
