* Rožsnyó, September 19, 1932 – / zoologist, ornithologist, museologist, specialist writer ; ; He began his elementary school education in his hometown. His family moved to Komárom in 1941, where he continued his schooling and graduated from the Komárom high school in 1952. He obtained a teaching certificate in biology and chemistry from the Pedagogical College in Bratislava in 1957. From 1958 he worked as a zoologist at the Váhvölgyi Museum in Žilina. In 1972 he received his doctorate in zoology from the Comenius University. From 1974 to 1994, until his retirement, he was an employee of the Óhegy Research Station of the Slovak Academy of Sciences. Since 1994 he has lived in Ógyalla. He mainly deals with small mammals, parasitology and bird observation. He initiated the establishment of several nature reserves in the Komárno district (Kissziget in Keszegfalu, Rétisas-sziget in Bősi, Hévíz in Pati, Csicsói holtág). He contributed to the editing and compilation of several publications. His scientific papers appear in the Slovak Ochrana prírody, Pamiatky a príroda, the Hungarian Aquila and other journals, as well as in yearbooks and conference volumes. In 1990, he published a series on the protected birds of Slovakia in the Bratislava A Hét.
