* Barslédec, July 1951 – / engineer-cybernetics, university professor ; ; He spent his childhood in Gímes, where he completed his primary school studies (1966). He graduated from the Hungarian Gymnasium in Nitra (1969). He obtained an engineering diploma in technical cybernetics-computer science from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Slovak University of Technology in Bratislava (1974). At the same time, he also obtained a pedagogical qualification. He began his professional career in 1974 at the Department of Computer Science of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the University of Technology in Bratislava, where he worked as an assistant professor and then as an assistant professor. In 1975–1981, he participated in doctoral training, and in 1982 he became a candidate of technical sciences in the field of technical cybernetics. He wrote his PhD thesis on computer modeling of the cerebrospinal fluid (liquor) system. In 1981–1987, he was an assistant professor at the Department of Management and Computer Science of the Military College in Liptovský Mikuláš, then (from 1984) an associate professor. From 1987, he taught at the Department of Mathematics and then Computer Science of the Pedagogical College in Nitra (today: Konstantin the Philosopher University) and launched the computer science vocational training. He lectured in both Slovak and Hungarian. In 2000, he obtained another associate professorship in the field of mathematics education theory. In 2003, he was appointed a university professor. Since 2004, he has been a professor, head of department and first vice-rector of the Selye János University in Komárom. He has been a visiting professor at several universities (University of Trenčín, Slovak University of Agricultural Sciences in Nitra, University of Nagyszombat, Palacký University in Olomouc). His research interests include modeling and simulation of computer systems, the hydrodynamic model of the cerebrospinal fluid system, modeling of control and protection systems, and the problems of didactic application of computer science. He is also a significant scientific organizer. He is a member of the editorial board of several Slovak and international IT and computer science journals, and a member of several Slovak and international professional societies. So far, he has published about 50 scientific and 150 professional articles, and has given lectures at 80 scientific conferences. He is the author and co-author of 8 university notes and 3 monographs.
