* Nyitra, March 30, 1867 – † Budapest, September 25, 1918 / physician, psychiatrist, ; founder of the Hungarian anti-alcohol movement ; ; He completed his university studies in Vienna and obtained his doctorate there. In Budapest, he first worked in the public health department of the Ministry of the Interior, then in the Angyalföld mental hospital, and later was the chief physician of the Schwartzer institute. He initiated the anti-alcohol movement in Hungary around 1900. In 1901, together with Miss Gray, who had been sent from England, he founded the Good Templar Order in Budapest, whose appearance sometimes resembled the Masonic lodges, and he was its leading fighter and spiritual leader until his death. He was the international vice-president of the Good Templar Order, alongside the Swiss psychiatrist Auguste-Henri Forel (1848–1931). For his services he was awarded the title of Royal Councilor.
