Joseph Stauber

* Bratislava, February 27, 1853 – † Oradea, December 5/6, 1907 / mathematics and science teacher, principal of the secondary school; ; He graduated from high school in Bratislava and graduated from university in Vienna. At that time, Professor Josef Stefan was here, who a few years later, in 1879, discovered the famous T4 law of thermal radiation. At that time, however, József Stauber was already teaching at the secondary school in Arad. From there, he moved to the secondary school, until finally, in the last years of his life, he became the principal of the secondary school in Oradea. He wrote articles and gave educational lectures on determinants in mathematics and on the properties of gases in physics. He was a founding member of the Mathematical and Physical Society, and he also signed the congratulatory letter that the founding members sent to Loránd Eötvös in 1894, on the occasion of his appointment as minister. He published a four-digit logarithm table for schools.
