Paul Sporzon

* Galgóc, January 12, 1831 – † Magyaróvár, March 27, 1917 / agricultural writer ; ; He completed his secondary school studies in Nagyszombat and Bratislava, then he was a student at the Bratislava Law Academy, after which he studied law and humanities in Vienna. In 1854–1856 he graduated from the Imperial and Royal Higher Institute of Economics in Magyaróvár. For a short time he was an agricultural officer, then he was appointed to the newly established Department of Economics and Forestry at the József Nádor Technical University (Polytechnic) in Budapest. In 1867, after a study trip to Western Europe, he became the director of the Higher Institute of Economics in Keszthely. In 1866–1867 he was also the editor of the Journal of the Forestry and Economic Journals. In 1872 he founded and edited the journal Gyakorlati Mezőgazda for 16 years.
