* Galgóc, January 12, 1831 – † Magyaróvár, March 27, 1917 / agricultural writer ; ; He completed his secondary school studies in Nagyszombat and Bratislava, then he was a student at the Bratislava Law Academy, after which he studied law and humanities in Vienna. In 1854–1856 he graduated from the Imperial and Royal Higher Institute of Economics in Magyaróvár. For a short time he was an agricultural officer, then he was appointed to the newly established Department of Economics and Forestry at the József Nádor Technical University (Polytechnic) in Budapest. In 1867, after a study trip to Western Europe, he became the director of the Higher Institute of Economics in Keszthely. In 1866–1867 he was also the editor of the Journal of the Forestry and Economic Journals. In 1872 he founded and edited the journal Gyakorlati Mezőgazda for 16 years. In 1874 he was transferred to the department of agricultural economics and forestry at the Magyaróvár Institute, which was elevated to academic status. ; ; His main works: ; Principles of rational sheep breeding, 1864, ; Economic soil theory, or the origin, quality, strength and classes of agricultural land, with a short introduction to plant physiology, 1865, ; Economic vocational training, 1868, ; On the question of organizing domestic economic higher education institutions, 1869, ; Principles and rules of rational soil cultivation for students and practicing farmers, 1871, Memoir on the subject of domestic economic education, 1874, Agricultural business on a scientific and practical basis, 1881, ; The system of rational farming, 1881, ; Basics of simple and double accounting, 1883, ; Economic estimation, 1885. ; ; His son, Pál Sporzon Jr. (Buda, August 29, 1867 – Budapest, December 4, 1917) was also an agricultural economist and writer, and at the same time he also pursued secondary school studies in Bratislava. ; His field of expertise was agricultural machinery.
