* Szomolnok, 12/17 February 1877 – † Sopron, 2 September 1958 / foundry engineer, teacher at the Technical University ; ; He graduated from the Rozsnyó Gymnasium in 1897. He obtained a diploma in metallurgical engineering from the Selmecbánya Mining and Forestry Academy in 1903. He then worked in Kapnikbánya and then in Horgospataka. In 1911, he was an assistant professor with Jenő Sobó (Hodrusbánya) at the Department of Public Architecture of the Selmecbánya Academy, which had in the meantime been qualified as a college. In 1912–1914, he studied architecture in Zurich as a scholarship holder. He served at the front in World War I and was taken prisoner of war, and was only able to return home in 1918. In 1919, he moved to Sopron, where he was Sobó's deputy, and from the end of 1920, he was head of the public architecture department. Between 1927 and 1929, he was the dean of the college's smelting engineering department. He was forced to retire in 1946. He taught again in the 1956/57 academic year: he held a course entitled Architectural Encyclopedia for mining engineering students. In addition to his valuable pedagogical work, he was also involved in practical planning to a significant extent, authored several studies, and performed important social work as the president of student welfare institutions.
