Jenő Sobo (Staudner)

* Hodrusbánya, March 15, 1853 – † Sopron, October 31, 1920 / ironworks engineer, academy teacher ; ; He obtained his engineering degree in 1877 from the Selmecbánya Mining and Forestry Academy. He worked for years at various state-owned ironworks (Kisgaram, Zólyombrézó). From 1892 he was a teacher at the Department of Public Architecture of the Selmecbánya Academy. He played an important role in the relocation of the Academy to Sopron after World War I. He wrote several textbooks and specialist books (Public Architecture I-II., 1888-89, Road, Railway and Bridge Architecture, 1900, etc.).
