Schréder Rezső

* Bánya Beszterce, 16 April 1826 – † Bánya Selmec, 14 April 1888 / mining engineer, metallurgist, academy teacher ; ; He completed his elementary school studies in Zólyom, and his secondary school studies in Bánya Selmec and Vác. Between 1846 and 1850 he was a student at the Bánya Selmec Academy, spending his practical years in Bánya Beszterce and Bánya Selmec. From 1853 he was the manager of the amalgamation plant in Szomolnok, in 1856–1857 he was the inspector of the Bánya Beszterce smelter, and from 1858–1869 he was the supervisor of the smelter in Zsarnóca. From 1870 until his death he was a teacher and then head of the metallurgical department of the Academy. He developed a process for the more efficient extraction and production of lead.
