* Felka, April 23, 1835 – † Felka, April 25, 1895 / flora researcher, pharmacist ; ; In 1855, he obtained a master pharmacist's degree in Vienna and took over his father's pharmacy in his hometown, and later the pharmacy in Old Tatras. However, in 1891, he sold the pharmacies and devoted his remaining years exclusively to science. He was also the mayor of Felka in 1868–1870. In 1882, he founded the Tatra Museum in Felka, which he managed for 14 years. Next to Felka's house, he established a botanical garden that was often visited by tourists and botanists. He analyzed the medicinal and mineral waters of the area, researched the flora of the Tatra Mountains and regularly published articles in the professional journals of the time.
