* Szeged, January 22, 1887 – † Bratislava, August 23, 1962 / historian, literary historian, associate professor ; ; He graduated from high school and then university in Budapest, where he was a member of the Négyesy Seminary with Mihály Babits, Gyula Juhász, and Béla Balázs. He also earned a doctorate in law and political science. Later, he worked as an educator in the countryside. During the Soviet Republic, he was a college professor in the capital, then emigrated, lived in Vienna, and then moved to Czechoslovakia: a high school teacher in Munkács and then in Bratislava, and from 1957 he was the leading associate professor of the Hungarian Literature Department at the Comenius University in Bratislava. He wrote numerous studies on economic history and literary history, and his monograph on Bratislava during the Reform period remained in manuscript, which was only published after his death. Two other works on the Jews of Bratislava remained in manuscript. The shorter one dealt with the history of the 18th–19th centuries, the longer one with its ordeal between 1939–1945.
