* Cselej, November 29, 1866 – † Pápa, July 1934 ? / literary historian, high school teacher ; ; His father died early, so from 1876 he was taken under the patronage of his maternal uncle, Ödön Szenczy. He completed high school in Székesfehérvár. He studied at the University of Budapest with interruptions. He taught in Sopron, Debrecen, Rimaszombat, Nagyszalonta, but for the longest time (from 1895 until his retirement) in Pápa, at the Ref. College. In 1892 he took the specialist examination in classical philology, in 1894 in pedagogy. He primarily analyzed the works of ancient authors and also compiled an anthology of Greek lyric for high schools. He was involved in the II. Even during the time of Ferenc Rákóczi, he translated the six-volume French memoirs of the great prince into Hungarian. He also researched the origin of Hungarian place names. In 1927, he published his work entitled The Recapture of Pápa Castle from the Turks in 1597. His younger brother, Ottó Sarudy (Cselej, February 7, 1872 – † Pápa, October 1931?) was also a teacher and textbook writer. In the 1890s, he also taught for a short time in Érsekújvár.
